SuperExpress Bus is good for only its outer look. it is a 60 seater vehicle. superfast is 52+1. The journey in super express bus will be conjested. Most of the super express are coming with the TATA. its better to upgrade the interstate services by super deluxe air bus, as it is a 40 seater and well develpoed interiot with pushback seat, night lamp for every passengers, mobile/laptop charging facility etc...compared to SETC Ultradeluxe bus and Rajahamsa our deluxe bus is giving a best performance.

Sujith, Not all Expresses are 60 seater vehicles. Only buses built on 12M chassis are 65 seaters. Other expresses are also 52+1 seaters only. It is not that 60 seats are installed in space for 52, but those buses have longer chassis.

I would suggest KSRTC to change this service to a Super Deluxe one and take the route via: Kottayam, Kumily, Cumbum, Theni, Dindigul, Trichy, Tanjore which will save a minimum of 4 hours in the journey time.

I usually travel on this bus from kottayam to Trichy.This is a nice service .The time schedule is maintained well.If it is a super delux service the journey will be long confortable.Thanx to the Changanacherry depo authorities

i travelled in this bus today from trissur to changanassery. the bus is going very slow as compared to other superfast buses. they are maintaing the correct time schedule, if the bus is full also. one fast passenger bus was also overtaken this bus today. i m feeling pity about that driver.

Yes the what the writer said about the velamkanni service is absolutely right because it is the only service from Kerala. If the service is changed atlest to express it would be convinient for the people,so that time can be cutshot by swapping this service

It is one of the best service from Ksrtc,Once I travel on this bus from Changanacherry to Trichy.The service from changanacherry to palakkad is so boring because the bus is going like a leech .I have a doubt whether the service is ordinary service running at a speed of 40 Km/hr. When the bus reach the palakkad depo,another driver take charge of the bus from palakad onwards the bus was like a bullet,I appreciate the driving style of the driver from palakkad depo.The driver from the Changanacherry depo is so sleepy driver

The velankanni service is the one of the prestigious service run by Ksrtc.so they have the responsibility to change the service from Super fast to deluxe .I don't know why the ksrtc authorities keep the things like this as so irresponsible

actually, the bus frm changanassery to velankanni ll reach palakkad at 9.30 and the bus frm velankanni to changanassery ll reach palakkad at 1.30. so the driver ll get only 4 hour time for recess. that may be the problem of laziness of the drivers.

I think ksrtc is thinking only about keeping good buses to banalore...its high time to upgrade the velamkanni buses to an express or a deluxe...un fortunetly our minister is only intersted in granding new buses to tiruvalla, if this service is from he will be propably upgrading this service...

why ksrtc don't start a bus from ernakulam? where many pvt. buses(universal,kallada)doin services,but it is not affordable to the people.so ksrtc should start from ekm through piravom,pala, mundakayam, kumily ,theny,cumbum trichy,tanjavoor........many pilgrimate from these area will have these bcome a treasure like what happend in changanassery.also it will bcome a treasure to many students from these area like me where we have no train facility.

I agree with what anson says. KSRTC is currently wasting the interstate permits by concentrating only on Bangalore. KSRTC should now focus on the Velankanni route through theni, cumbum, trichy which has high patronage because of no train connectivity to these places. If KSRTC runs Super Deluxe services in these routes they won't be losing the fare difference since Tamilnadu government charges for their Ultra deluxe at the same rate as KSRTC's Super Deluxe charges.

who said the bangalore services are worst for ksrtc? they are getting a good profit from this route. otherwise do u guys think they will run this much buses to bangalore?

But one more important thing, there are only 7 buses from bangalore to different parts of kerala via tamil nadu. they are TVM Volvo, 2 ac buses, 3 super deluxe buses and one superfast bus. all the remaining services are via mysore.

what u guys telling about this?

why ksrtc is neglecting chennai. Here there are lots of malayales. if ksrtc provide buses from chennai to Trivandum(Nagercovil Madurai), Ernakulam ,Calicut, (palakad, combatore),Kottayam, Kollam ( Kottarakara, punalor tenkasi)etc etc provide ac volvo buses in this route.also provide buses to pondychery, vellankani, sivakasi , tutucorine from trivandrum and Ernakulam Kollam

"AT LAST THE DREAM COME TRUE".



This is the first Super Express service that started from the Changanacherry depot.thanks to the concerned KSRTC department for initiating to the swap the this service.I saw this bus last day,very gigantic body with nice seat arrangement.The new bus is on the road from 20th may 2009.As we discuss about this matter on this blog months back,I have no belief that this will happen in these recent time.But the miracle happen due the pressure from the Changanacherry depot as they are trying to get the permission for an express is for more than years.Later I will provide the route details along with the charge for each places.

I travel on this bus from changanacherry to coimbatore.This service is stunning.the driver and the speed of this bus is superb.Nice seating.but great fare

i regularly travel in the velamkanni bus from Thrissur to Trichy atleast once in 3 months since 2001. the most interesting part was when this bus used to cover Coimbatore-Trichy(203km) in 3hrs15mins when compared to 5hrs of Tamilnadu services. the palakkad depot have superb drivers who make travellin a different experience altogether. people regularly traveling on the bangalore route would have realised this coz all buses coming from Kottayam n other places change drivers at palakkad.
The journey became boring with the introduction of Speed governors. i really pity the drivers whose legs r tied up coz of governors. the Malayalam Mass in the Velamkanni Church used to be at 0730hrs and this Bus could never reach at tht time. the introduction of Super Express is a welcome step and Hope the authorities maintain the services..

what the traveler from thrissur said is absolutely right.everyone can feel the difference in driving from palakad onwards.This service maintains good timing as per the schedule.Atleast for the super express onwards and the interstate long service the authorities can avoid or increase the speed limit (80km/hr).

actually this service started long time back with super express after Ganeshkumar came as transport minister ,all super express service changed to super fast because of attracting passengers ...due this they got more collections....now they got enough collection from chain serices thats why this graded to super express

to thrissur
its stopes all bus stations in kerala for comfortable choose bus stands...........
